Azelaic acid is not soluble in water that makes it difficult to work with and hence usually found in an oil base making it perfect to use in a cream/lotion/moisturiser. You can use it in the following ways
- clean with a gentle cleanser
- apply 2-3 drops of niacinamide serum
- use an Azelaic acid based cream/lotion/moisturiser
- use sunscreen in the AM routine
