What causes open pores?⁣

- High levels of oil (sebum) production⁣
- Reduced skin elasticity⁣
- Reduced skin hydration⁣
- Sun damage⁣
- Genetics or heredity⁣

What works on reducing the appearance of open pores?⁣

- Use salicylic acid (BHA) and niacinamide serum to reduce the sebum production of the skin. These ingredients go deep into the pores and clear off the excess oil/ sebum off from the pores, thereby making them look smaller⁣

- Use niacinamide/ aha (lactic/ glycolic acid)/ retinoids to work on increase the skin elasticity for the skin to look firm and tight and thereby making enlarged pores look smaller ⁣

- Use light moisturisers loaded with humectants such as hyaluronic acid/ glycerine to increase the skin hydration. Skin hydration is important as dry/ dehydrated skin makes the pores look larger⁣

- Use sunscreen to prevent the further damage of skin and to lock in all these ingredients⁣
